“Shelves coffee” is a coffee shop that offers a carefully selected selection of beans from roasters in Seattle and other West Coast cities.
The name of the store, “shelves,” comes from the concept of offering a wide variety of coffees on each shelf, and we decided to use “shelves” as an important element of the store design. At the request of the store owner, a kiosk for serving coffee was installed in the center of the store. The kiosks are composed of steel racks assembled in a square configuration, which can be arranged in rows on the wall, or increased or decreased in number as needed, allowing for flexible editing of the space to suit the operation.
In addition, since the project required a near-self-build approach, fixtures from the old store were diverted as much as possible, and materials easily purchased at home centers were used to reduce cost and labor.
