Twisting paper tubes that brace the tabletop

When considering display fixtures utilizing the ARAKAWA GRIP system, we came across some paper tubes to be discarded. That is when the idea came to us to create the fixture that featured a combination of wire, grips, and paper tubes. The base comprises three legs easily stabilized by assembling in alternating directions. As a result, the presence of the paper tubes and the grips that hold the wires in place vanished, and the fixture became simple in design.

Since the works in this exhibition are relatively small and some are lighting pieces, the gallery windows are covered with partitions made of grip systems, paper tubes, and craft paper. The drapes formed with craft paper rolls are carefully adjusted with paper tubes and grips to create surface effects. Finally, the paper tubes are reusable as they are not perforated or glued.
